About the Tour
Experience one of the most rewarding mountain adventures in Pelister National Park on this spectacular circular hike to Peak Pelister (2,601 m), the highest summit of Baba Mountain. Starting and ending at the iconic Hotel Molika, this full-day trek combines pristine forests, alpine landscapes, breathtaking panoramic views, and the unique natural beauty of one of North Macedonia’s oldest national parks.
The trail begins through the magnificent Molika pine forest, home to the rare five-needle Macedonian pine (Pinus peuce), before gradually ascending toward the rocky alpine terrain above the tree line. Along the way, hikers pass scenic viewpoints, glacial stone rivers, and remnants of World War I mountain shelters, while enjoying uninterrupted views over the Pelagonia Plain, Prespa Lake, and the surrounding mountain ranges.
Upon reaching Peak Pelister, hikers are rewarded with spectacular 360-degree panoramas stretching across North Macedonia, Greece, and Albania on clear days. After a well-deserved break at the summit, the route descends along a different section of the mountain, creating a beautiful circular trail back to Hotel Molika through diverse landscapes and peaceful mountain scenery.
